Using the SERF Website . . .

The SERF website has been designed to be easily navigated using menu links on the side and bottom of every main page.   Every page on the website has been designed to be easily printed on a standard letter size, 8 ½ x 11” piece of paper.   You may print any of these web pages from your browser to your own printer.

Get AdobeMost pages are presented as web pages.   Occasionally, we provide PDF versions of forms and documents.   PDFs adobe pdf are easily opened and read using Adobe Acrobat Reader. You need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 5.0 or higher. Go to www.adobe.com to download the latest version.   (Remember that you need to execute the file that you have downloaded in order to install this software on your computer.)

Why doesn't the SERF site look right on my computer?

If the web browser that you are using does not fully support web standards or is out of date, the site may look very plain or have some visual quirks.   If you think that the new site does not appear correctly in your web browser, you can upgrade to the latest version of whatever browser you are using.  If you are not sure how to do that or aren't sure what web browser you are currently using, you can download the latest version of Mozilla or FireFox from www.mozilla.org. Both Mozilla and FireFox have excellent support for web standards and are freely available for Windows, Macintosh and Linux. If you are installing Mozilla or FireFox for the first time, remember to also install the plug-ins for these browsers (you will find plug-ins for Adobe, Macromedia Flash and Shockwave, RealPlayer, and Java at: http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/. You will need to download and install the browser AND the plug-ins before web-surfing).

JavaScript is used for on the SERF website in the design of the web pages. If you receive a JavaScript error message or the page does not appear to be working correctly (such as the page will open, but some of the content -- such as the date stamp at the bottom of every page -- is missing), you may need to enable active javascript in the Internet Options (under Tools of your browser's toolbar) or you may need to reinstall javascript engine on your hard drive.
