Not Just Desserts Takes the Cake! 

Despite heavy rains that threatened to keep people away, SERF's  (Sudbury Education Resource Fund) 8th Annual Not Just Desserts drew  the largest crowd in the event's history at its new location at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School on Saturday, May 13. With 34 food purveyors, 72 sponsors, 19 silent auction items, and more than 300  attendees, the event raised $25,000 for SERF, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching and supporting Sudbury's schools by providing grants to teachers, administrators and parents for innovative  educational programs, research, and resources. The delicious offerings  from the area's finest restaurants, bakeries, caterers, and food  companies were complemented by the musical presentations by several  Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School musical groups, led by high school instrumental music director Thomas Grandprey. All in all, there was a real sense of community.
